As part of the 2nd World Acadian Congress, the
LeBlancs
organised its family reunion in the city of Erath in Louisiana, U.S.A.
on August 13 and 14, 1999. On that occasion, the Association des
LeBlanc
of Acadia was represented by its president, Louis H. LeBlanc of Dieppe,
New-Brunswick, Canada while the Famille de LeBlanc of Louisiana, U.S.A.
was represented by its president, Presley LeBlanc. During the
festivities,
the members of the LeBlanc family were immensely pleased to be given
the
opportunity to greet His Excellency Roméo A. LeBlanc, Governor
General
of Canada. The following pictures depict some of the activities of the
reunion.
